Bombay HC Finds Prima Facie Copyright Infringement in 'Singardaan' Web Series, Orders Producers to Share Profits with Plaintiff [Read Judgment]

On Tuesday, the Bombay High Court ruled that the makers of the web series 'Singardaan' prima facie infringed the copyright of plaintiff Shamoil Ahmad Khan, who authored a story titled 'Singardaan'. Justice SC Gupte heard Khan’s commercial suit seeking an interim injunction against producer Falguni Shah, director Deepak Pandey, and Ullu App CEO Vibhu Aggarwal.
